Does dictionary writers have a sense of humor?

    I rather disagree with the plural SENSES, Many people can have one 'sense of humor' each, but nobody can have several senses of humor.

    @JakobA: With all due respect, once you say, "Does dictionary writers...", it's not clear that you have the command of English and grammar to have an informed opinion on the subject. Each individual has his/her SENSE of humor, thus it follows that pluralizing them into a group calls for the plural SENSES. A plural subject - writers - always takes a plural noun.     Nothing is funny in the wrong place.     Dictionaries are rules of communication.  If you don't want to learn how, you are not really very funny either.  Just kind of clueless.
