A stamp collector from New York discovered Canada shortly after the Canadian Confederation in 1867.

We celebrate Thanksgiving in honor of all the brave turkeys who gave up their lives so we could celebrate Thanksgiving.

I have no idea.  I know someone named Champlain (I think) was an important figure in the early history.

So yall are really a young country.  I didn't realize. Thanks  What is the actual association with England today?  There is no real association with France, is there?  You just have some French-speaking areas.....right?

Just kind of a loose association with England as the 'Mother Country ' . The Brits still think we are a colony.  We still borrow the Queen's mug to print on our $20.00 bills.

No official association with France. English and French are our official languages.  The province of Quebec is largely French. Some areas do not even speak English.  Some of them would like Quebec to separate from Canada.

Might be an idea to annex Canada now and make  Prime Minister Trudeau President to get rid of Trump and Clinton.

I thought Canada was discovered by the Vikings in the 700s. I think the called it "The cold place with lots of trees and cod."

The Vikings discovered Newfoundland which did not become part of Canada until 1949. They named it 'Vineland ' to try to encourage people to come settle there thinking it was a warm climate.
