Were your school years happy both in terms of learning and in socializing? Did you have lots of friends? Were you a "good" student?

Being painfully shy by grammar school years were not that great. I loved the learning part. The socializing part not so much. High school too. Good student but I didn't have a lot of friends. The weird thing is I was voted "most sophisticated"! I will never figure that out. Maybe they mistook the shyness for something else. I don't know. I didn't ask.

So how about you? Did you love the whole thing and have wonderful memories of your school years?

Or not so much?

    Hated school.  Zero friends.  So-so student (although my essay paragraphs and stories were always marked as "very imaginative").

    Socializing?  I never got the hang of that.
