How can I stop my tax dollars going towards ugly public art?

    Hello Mr.

    Here's what I do..  I get the "ugly art" appraised, and then I deduct that amount from my taxes.

    Write to the tax office and tell them what you want your tax money to be used for. If it is something that they consider worthy, maybe they will use it for that. They can still use other people's tax money for public art, ugly or not.

    Hmm... here you get a tax credit when you donate to schools. Going that route, you have a little more say in where the money goes. I have even donated to a specific cause within a school, so I'm sure you could donate to a school's computer lab or library.

    Aside from that, I think you may have to stop paying taxes.

  • Stamp "Not for art" on all bills that come into your possession.
