Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» Talk about irony (or quite possibly hypocrisy) the Family Values Party wants Donald J. Trump for prez. Isn't that a kick in the head?
Never understood how they can keep defending all his mistreats, but they do. Why? I really don't know. One thing for sure though, it's not because they spend time to listen to the alternative. They were raised to hate them.
I think they have had to pretzelize themselves to do so SH. They come up with so many rationalizations/justifications for supporting him none of which are valid or make any sense. PROVIDING they are really what they say they are. Now if they aren't then it doesn't matter. They cannot have it both ways and that is precisely what they keeping trying to do. Which is why they are so foolish and laughable...and very sad. They don't know what they do. They haven't a clue. Thank you for your reply m'dear! :)
We see their sayings, and ways reasoning around this place... I don't get them either Rosie. I say like you, be open and honest about your motivations. It is their democratic right, but they should not talk loud about those family based values they keep telling us the Dems doesn't have.
When allegedly so-called "religious" folks can put their religion aside to support a Donald Trump you KNOW they are phonies. You don't put religion on and off as you would a jacket. You live it 24/7. So all they are talk. Not real or honest or true. Thank you for your reply SH and Happy Thursday to you! :)
Lemme offer a slight correction... Mormons are about family values just like Evangelicals are, and they're just as right wing. They're NOT on the Trump train.
I don't agree with 'em, but they LIVE their religion. I dunno what's going on with Evangelical Christians like Jerry Falwell Jr.. They're SELLING out God and replacing him with Trump.

The question is about those Republicans who support and will vote for Trump excon. It has absolutely nothing to do with those who won't. Thank you for your reply! :)
In terms of values from the personal lives there is not much to distinguish the two. What values voters are considering is the candidates positions on issues. (I know it blows some people's minds that people vote issues instead of this is the candidate "I would want to have a beer with")
Issues like Supreme Court picks, abortion, tax payer funded abortion, stem cell research, Who will defend religious freedom, who supports education choice....
Why did Trump first say that Mexico would pay for the wall and now says Congress will pay for the wall but Mexico will reimburse us? It makes no sense at all to me m2c. What sense does it make to you and how do we force a country to reimburse us? I know it's the positions your candidate allegedly espouses that you support and not the character of the man. How do you know he is going to do anything he says he will? How do you know he isn't conning you and telling you what he knows you want to hear? Once he is in office he has 4 years to do what he wants which may be nothing you want him to do. I think you are extending far to much faith in someone who is a proven liar m2c. I do. Of course I have no way of knowing if what you believe will happen actually will happen. The only way we will know is if Trump becomes prez and then we shall see how what he said he would do compares to what he actually does. Of course by then it will be too late to do anything if all he did was lie/con/scam/ pretend. I hope you're right. I think you aren't. Thank you for your reply! :)
I really don't care who pays for the wall. As long as it is built and built by Americans. If he is lying he will be a one term President. I only have one choice.... vote for Trump or don't vote.
