Keep it in the family

A friend of mine has gone to a football match (English football) with a friend of his.
His friend is the new husband of my friend's ex-wife.
His ex-wife had a daughter when my friend married her, making her his step-daughter, but since his divorce has referred to Natasha as his niece.
My friend, therefore, is spending the evening with his ex-wife's husband who, at various times, have both called Natasha their step-daughter.
My friend regularly takes his ex-wife and friend's / ex-wife's husband's dog for walks, together with his own dog who is the brother of one of my dogs and the son of my other.

My Father was married with three kids when he met my mother.
He divorced his then wife and married said mother.
His brother later married my father's ex-wife, making him the step-father of his own nieces and nephews.

My father and uncle never talked after that.

Any other weirdnesses? I'd love to know

:)

I can't keep up with all that. I can't really relate, either, but I'm sure there's weirder stuff happening in the world, heh. I know someone's sister's dating her first cousin. I dunnno. Doesn't matter much to me.

  • I know this sounds like there should be a question at the end, 'so what is the square root of horse manure if you subtract 9 bananas'..

I was going to add that I'm kicking myself roundly that I didn't just use the damn Venn Diagrams.

  • Weirdness? Here's some for you. It's a Disney song: "I'm my own grandpa"

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYlJH81dSiw

Many, many years ago when I was twenty-three
I was married to a widow who was pretty as could be
This widow had a grown-up daughter who had hair of red
My father fell in love with her and soon they too were wed

This made my dad my son-in-law and really changed my life
For now my daughter was my mother, 'cause she was my father's wife
And to complicate the matter, even though it brought me joy
I soon became the father of a bouncing baby boy

My little baby then became a brother-in-law to dad
And so became my uncle, though it made me very sad
For if he were my uncle, then that also made him brother
Of the widow's grownup daughter, who was of course my step-mother

Father's wife then had a son who kept them on the run
And he became my grandchild, for he was my daughter's son
My wife is now my mother's mother and it makes me blue
Because although she is my wife, she's my grandmother too

Now if my wife is my grandmother, then I'm her grandchild
And every time I think of it, it nearly drives me wild
'Cause now I have become the strangest 'case you ever saw
As husband of my grandmother, I am my own grandpa

I'm my own grandpa, I'm my own grandpa
It sounds funny, I know but it really is so
