    That depends.  Good breaks are infrequent here.  We usually have wind-generated waves with lots of chop.  If we could have a nice 4-6 foot swell from far offshore with a light west wind to hold them up, then yes, I'd rather be surfing.

    If not a surfer, why do you ask?  Do you want to learn to surf?  Are you near an ocean?  I'm on the East Coast of Florida.

    Of course.  Either he wants to go surfing with me or he doesn't.  He needs to decide.  He may be afraid of the water, I don't know.
