Hmm... Where to start..? Okay, let me try like this...

We got the gift shop here at aM. It's somewhat like the gifts and gestures we could send in PM's and add on each others whiteboards on EP. Each gift cost some credits. Meaning, in order to buy gifts for whoever you want to buy a gift you're going to need your credits.

JA made up some lurky scheme to make sure we will get addicted shopaholics when entering her shop the first time... I've joined anonymous aM gift shopaholics and am fighting my addiction each day...

The credits are earned through participation by yourself, and also by that of others... Behave and I will like your posts, and you will earn credits in the JA bank to buy me huge gifts... Maybe a gift that hasn't arrived in the shop yet..! Are you saving your credits for better times..? ;-)

  • Lurky scheming, eh. Hm.
In which case the answer is yes (What better times).
    Buy you a huge gift?

Here my participation on AM comes to an end.. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at October 19, 2016 2:56 AM MDT

I don't get why anyone would want them.    I don't get why anyone would care if I gave them mine.  I don't want them from anyone else, so why would anyone care to get them from me?

You not wanting them isn't the same as everyone else thinking the same. Wouldn't the world be a boring one, if we all were Sharonna's? It will be the variety that makes this place an interesting one. Your presence, mine, others... It's the mixture and variety, Sharonna. And yes, some of us likes the idea of the gift shop, we like the idea of being able to send a gift to someone. The occasions can be a variety in itself. It can be as much as letting the other know we think about them, and what they might be going through. It can just be as an appreciation of them being them. It can be a love gesture. It's all about what you felt and had in mind while giving them, as what the other part perceives receiving them. Not that much different than a gesture in the off-world.

I'm a big spender myself. I love sharing the joy by giving gifts, having people feel noticed, or share something special that they will know what means. I love sharing. Lol.

  • I think I've sent one gift.....doubt that I'll send anymore. It's really not that important to me.

That's the great thing. Just like I told Sharonna. Each to their own, and we can still be part of the same community. Maybe that's exactly why life stays interesting, we aren't all alike.

    Hello S:

I've NEVER been able to keep credits in my pocket.  Not very Jewish of me, huh?

I know the saying, but happens to be a person who doesn't believe in stereotypes. You have shown me your giving, loving and caring nature. I am very grateful. :-)

  • Do you mean a statement by Millenials? I'm so-called "Gen X". We got s*it on by Boomers and Millenials. We're the children of the gutter.
