I don't know about nightmares, but dogs do dream.

They do? How do we KNOW that sweetie? Thank you for your reply! Oh maybe they track brain waves and when dreaming they follow a pattern? :)

If you've ever watched a dog sleep, when they dream they have these involuntary movements of their paws.  I'm sure they have been studied via brain waves to confirm.

No I never have L. When I was ten we had a cocker spaniel named Blackie. But that was my one and only dog. I'm a cat person. I like their independence. Dogs are very needy from what I"ve observed. You have to walk them for one thing. Twice a day? Not my cuppa tea although I have met some very adorable dogs. Nice place to visit but I don't want to live there. Thank you for your reply! :)

I like dogs because most of them are affectionate and unconditionally loving.  Cats are too independent.  You call a dog - it comes.  You call a cat it says, "Take a message."

That's precisely WHY. I'm a cat. Independent. I am not NEEDY. Dogs are NEEDY. Different strokes etcetera. Thank you for your reply L. I find "needy" not only annoying but disgusting.

I'm independent, too, but the whole idea of a pet is having something that likes you. :)
