    He is not leaving just taking a smaller role so he can concentrate on Day 1 Fund, the Bezos Earth Fund, Blue Origin, The Washington Post, and his other passions. 

    Sounds as if he will be more active globally and politically.

    I doubt it would affect much. I don't see Amazon deciding to stop still trying to be THE world's monopoly retailer.

    Exactly! I only ever did one Amazon thing years ago at my son's request. Set up a $100 credit for him. I guess you can buy stuff cheaper that way. As for me I am a touchy feely person. I want to examine things before I purchase them. It's the old fashioned way I guess. Thank you for your reply Durdle! :)
