Kitchen remodeling nightmares?

When you start it on fire, it is time to remodel, trust me.

It's a lot to go through
while you are living there
but what a difference
it makes...

It's the best remodeling project you can do for value .  People love a nice kitchen.   What is the nightmare?  I may have already resolved it; I've done quite a few kitchens.    

If it looks different from how it was 50 years ago, it's a nightmare. It doesn't get any simpler.

It'd be less of a nightmare if they didn't insist on inset stainless-steel sinks rather than the older, all-over pattern! Whoever thought that change up, probably in the 1970s, evidently didn't have their own kitchen-sink being held by a narrow flange, 2 clips and some silicone sealant, in a whopping great hole sawn through a sheet of laminated-chipboard on a flimsy box of thinner laminated-chipboard.
