Condolences to all of you who are getting wallopped weatherwise. I read that 2 million Texans are without power. Just what you needed?

Terrible weather to take your minds off COVID and POLITICS.

Oh geez E! Condolences to thee as well. Right now it's 58 with a projected high of 64. It's a beautiful day here. I wish it were warmer where you are but at least you have utilities functioning right? Thank you for your reply and Happy Tuesday to thee and Pat and all the kids and grandkids! :)

How exciting! I'm not a bloodline grandma. I have one son and so far nothing. He will be 56 in a couple of days and that's kinda old for fathering a kid. But I do have a grandson from David...Jim's darling son who passed away of cancer in 2019. He is a wonderful young man. He and his wife live in New Jersey and he is in the military. They were going to come out for a visit early last year and then COVID hit and well you know the rest! Thank you for your reply E:)

It's 25 degrees where I am right now with 4-8" of snow predicted for tomorrow into Friday.  Oh, joy.

I will survive! Right m'dear? You did. Texans aren't so lucky. Them and their independence from the federal government cost lives. Wonder if anyone cares about that? Thank you for your reply L! :)

Considering what happened to them this week, not being attached to another grid, what do you think would happen to them if they seceded?  Maybe they ought to give that more thought.

Excellent point! They are very brave until they get to the water's edge. All talk no action. Empty suits. Apparently in 1989 the grid failed and they were supposed to make it weather proof way back then. Again in 2011 it failed. Once again they were given instructions about what to do and didn't. Now this time they really got smacked. More talk no action I expect. They talk real BIG but deliver microscopic. Poor Texans. Stuck with that! Thank you for your reply L and Happy Monday to you! :)

While I wouldn't wish that kind of devastation on anyone, I don't believe they have to live with that.  They can stop voting for Republicans or elect Republicans who are more concerned about their constituents.  No one holds a gun to their heads in the voting booth.  Happy Monday. :)

I don't know if they can just vote those suckers out or what. Thank you for your reply L! :)

Well, if they can keep voting them in, they can vote them out. :)

I dunno. You vote them in and then can't get rid of them! Sheesh. Thank you for your reply L. Best to NEVER vote for those suckers in the first place! :)

True, but sometimes I wonder if the one voted in was the least worst choice. :)
