  • Well first I suppose one should ask for a definition of 'free', but there is certainly an element of truth in the statement.  Ignorance almost always makes people more able to be enslaved to one thing or another, that much is certain.

    Pols depend on an ignorant electorate. They are threatened by knowledge/intelligence/ideas/independent thought so the dumber the populace the happier they are. If they were smarter they wouldn't think that way but let's face it...pols are not the sharpest knives in the drawer. Never have been.  Never will be.
