The NEW ENGLAND JOURNAL OF MEDICINE published a sobering report about the efficacy of vaccines against the South Africa strain. What is it?

The Moderna vaccine has a six-fold reduction in antibodies created.
The Pfizer showed a 2/3 reduction in antibody creation

The South African variant is already in 10 states in the United States. So it is spreading.

Those who have already received vaccines may need to get more if/when they are available to fight the South Africa strain unless it can be stopped dead in its tracks. Probably unlikely.
