"U.S. Scientists have shown it's plausible to power the earth from solar panels in space." Seriously?

Yep. It already exists in PROTOTYPE form. The Pentagon controls the technology. PRAMS could provide emergency power during natural disasters.

Photovoltaic
Radiorequency
Antenna
Modules

So we set up a bazillion solar panels that power earth and who needs electric companies? Would it cost more to be electrified from space solarly than it does to be electrified the way we've always been on terra firma?

I had a brother-in-law who worked for NASA in Birmingham, Alabama. He was an engineer and was working with a team that was attempting to do that. They worked for 2 decades before they gave up. They didn't have the technology at the time. This post was edited by Element 99 at September 10, 2021 12:50 AM MDT
