Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» "The check is in the mail". Just joking. But our ballots are. Have you done your citizenly duty to vote yet or do you plan to? Why?
We agree. Yep. Thee and me! There is NO SUBSTANTIVE ACCEPTABLE excuse for refusing to do your citizenly duty. None. Thank you for your reply TT and Happy Saturday to thee! :)
We used to do that. But on January 28, 2008 I had surgery...a hysterectomy due to stage 3 cancer. Subsequent to that I had months of chemo and radiation. Home was my favorite place. There was a primary that year but I didn't know if I could make it to the polling place so I elected to vote by mail. Jim took the same election so we have been voting by mail in both Primary and General Elections ever since. Thank you for your reply m2c. The option of voting by mail is wonderful for shut-ins or for those who are unable to appear in person..whether it is temporary as was true in my case or permanent . I didn't want to miss voting in the Primary election. I never have missed voting and I was grateful that I had another option.
What a very sweet thing to tell me TT. Thank you. I appreciate it . The good news is that I was gvien a 15% chance of surviving 5 years and here I am 8 years later doing just fine! You just gave me an "atta girl" m'dear. Who wouldn't like that? :)
We don't have early voting in New York and I don't qualify for an absentee ballot, so I will just go to the polls on Election Day, hold my nose and vote.
