Hope your hand gets better soon.

I do not remember ever injuring just one hand/arm.

thank you m2c.  took some tylenol a couple of hours ago and it helps. Yesterday was the worst. It's better today and I think in a few days I'll be able put pressure on it without it hurting. SLOW DOWN Jim keeps reminding me to just SLOW DOWN. I try but i keep forgetting! Happy wednesday to thee and thine. :)

I'm sorry one of your wings is not working properly. :)  How did you do that?  Hope it feels better soon.  Yes, I've typed with one hand, but not always successfully and I've always had to go back and fix what I typed.

At first I thought I might have fractured something but it's better today L. Still swollen and hurts but it is definitely better. I didn't take any Tylenol before I went to bed last night and I got a really good night's sleep! I'm typing better with it today though the left hand hurts. I'm right-handed so how lucky is THAT? I can move all fingers so I'm on the road to a mend. I have to be PURPOSEFUL and MINDFUL 24/7. Too old to be my slapdash self. It's not so easy changing your entire MO. Thank you for your reply and Happy Thursday sweetie! :)

Me too and ditto! Every day it's less painful and the swelling is almost gone. Thank goodness!  Repeat after me. "Be purposeful. Be mindful. GO SLOW!" That's what Jim keeps reminding me to be/do. I surely will try and hope I can. Thank you for your reply L! :)

You're facing another such surgery soon E? I think I told you Jim had shoulder surgery and it took him a full year to "get back to normal" and get his range of motion back. Lucky stroke that playing tennis was something the surgeon recommended to help with the range of motion. The surgeon said that any surgery affecting BONE takes longer to heal/recover from. After surgery and healing was there any residual pain in the operated on shoulder? Thank you for your reply and Happy Thursday to thee and thine! :)

I get a twinge in it once in a while. My other shoulder is worse and the surgery will be more complex.

Oh dear. Well a "twinge once in awhile" is not as bad as it could be...constantly pain constantly. But "worse" and "more complex"? Is it scheduled yet? Thank you for your reply E! :)

Not yet. My surgeon here in Toledo can't do it; I have an appointment up at the University of Michigan medical center on the 20th.

An appointment for an evaluation? How far from home is it E? It's disappointing when the person you know passes you off to a stranger. Hope you like the person you are being passed off to. Thank you for your reply E! :).

The U of Mich is less than an hour's drive north of here. My surgeon said he did not have the knowledge to do it. I'm glad he admitted it.

Less than an hour drive is a piece of cake in California. Thank you for your reply! :)

    Ouch!  Sorry to hear that.

Yes, I've been there.  Carpal tunnel and rotator cuff injuries.

Never had carpal tunnel but I did have "frozen" shoulder once. Physical therapy and exercise took care of it. I didn't need surgery for it. Jim did have surgery on his shoulder and it took about a year to get back to "normal". Playing tennis was good therapy as it helped with the range of motion healing. Thank you for your reply Shuhak and Happy Thursday. I'm typing better today. Hand is still swollen bigly but I can move all fingers so nothing is broken or fracured. It's my left hand and I'm right-handed so right there is a big blessing! :)

Had carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand once and had to do everything with my left hand for about a month.

So did you become bi handwise Stu? Being forced to use your left hand for an entire month must have left you more adept with the left! Thank you for your reply and Happy Thursday to thee and thine! :)
