Prince Philip who gave up his Greek Citizenship to become a British citizen fulfilled all his obligations during his very long tenure as Prince Consort can finally rest. He is relieved of all requirements obligations and sacrifices. RIP.
Here's what I don't get. Why wasn't Her Majesty escorted all the way? Why wasn't her son, Charles, the next King there by her side? It made the services all the more heartbreaking. She was bent over and doing her best to get to where she needed to go all on her own. That seems particularly CRUEL to me. Can you explain it? That very long walk was so touching I was in tears. To be honest with you I never thought much about him. In the news were "the kids" and the Queen. But I think he was her foundation for so many decades. He gave up a great deal for her and I believe he served her and the country and its people very well. Now she will go on alone. I wonder if she will step down sooner now without her husband by her side? Thank you for your reply Durdle. Again my condolences.
