Very cute anti b. YOU ARE A BARGAIN! He charges $100 for 15 minutes...$400/hour. Maybe you need to increase the amount of what you charge. Ya know tons of people place more value on things that are more expensive. I'm just sayin'! $60 an hour for ANYTHING THESE DAYS? Where? Thank you for your nifty reply. I'm making a rolodex card for you. I'll leave the hourly charge blank in case you decide to raise your price. Okey dokey? Let me know if you do. Happy Wednesday to thee anti b! :)

Most people work for an hourly wage or salary.  That is their price.

In my lifetime, I have been paid from $3.25-$10.00/hr. That my price at the time. It would not be enough now unless I had no choice.

I started at the minimum wage of $2.30/hour for a summer job in 1976. I have made as much as $45/hour for a remote bookkeeping gig. Today, I make $27/hour from Turbotax and charge my tax clients by the return.

Do you know what I remember fondly? Many many decades ago when I  aspired to earn $100/week! I thought once I could earn that much regularly I'd be on EASY STREET. I remember way back when paying $3000 for a car was so extravagant. I remember when I was a kid  my parents' best friends had a house built in Pasadena which cost $17,000! He was a photoengraver and made a very good living. Can you imagine what you could buy for $17,000 today? Cars costs more than that and not the top of the line. At my top earning years I made $40,000/year plus a yearly bonus of about $16,000. All of this without a college degree. An A.A. from a Jr. College in Liberal Arts (I know you're shocked right?) And yet we are still fighting about a minimum wage of $15/hr as if it were the holy grail. Things sure have changed mightily. Thank you for the informative reply Stu. So you're a bean counter too? I ended up as an Internal Auditor and I LOVED my job. There is a decency in numbers that never changes. They are right or they are not. I always liked that aspect about accounting. Happy Thursday to thee and thine! :) This post was edited by RosieG at April 29, 2021 11:14 AM MDT
