Storyline of the Old Wives' Tale? If you work hard enough and long enough you can get whatever you want in life. Maybe not. WHY?

Sometimes the harder you try the farther away you get. Sometimes when you stop trying and move on to other things what you sought comes to you.

You can't count on it of course but it does happen.

So take everything with a grain of salt and if "it" doesn't work out move on and fuggeddaboutit.

    It's a false adage because realism also has to enter into it.  Let's face it, someone may want to be something for which they just don't have the mental/physical capacity not matter how hard they try.  You have to work within your capabilities.
