Be aware, oil companies will jack up prices everywheresimply because they can. They've done it many times in the past.  They will use any excuse they can to jack up prices (a gnat sneezed in Saudi Arabia, there was a fire in the women's restroom on a long abandoned oil platform near Guam, there's a rumor greasy hairdos will make a comeback).

So you are saying it doesn't matter? We're sitting ducks? Any excuse for a price hike? Gas prices go up and down all the time for no apparent reason Shuhak. We never know why and the gas companies never tell us why. They don't need an excuse. They just do it. Who can blame them? Since CAPITALISM is the GOD of most homo saps you charge what the traffic will bear and then some especially if you have a captive audience with no other choices. And so it goes. Thank you for your reply and Happy Thursday to thee and thine. Most homo saps are greedy money-hungry hoors. A given. Sad but true.
