What type of job, a parakeet brain surgeon or a lap dancer?

If I were a parakeet brain surgeon I would operate on the one male.   I thought they were all females and it turns out one has a blue sear that did not show up until it was too late and I bought him.

He cannot keep from rubbing that cloaca of his over all the other ones and I am constantly picking up eggs they dropped.  It seems they don't care at all about progeny, they are just horny as hell.

Should I bring that up as light banter during the interview?

I'm sure I will be remembered if I do.

As for the second choice, I am not dancing on no lap and I promise you if you want to dance on me, you have to pay a lot more than a massage costs. This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at October 26, 2016 12:07 PM MDT

  • Try to be intimidating.  If they ask you something you can't answer, respond with "What the hell is that supposed to mean?"  Don't take a seat unless they tell you to stand.  Make snide remarks about the looks of anyone they may have pictures of on their desk.  Look at your watch every 30 seconds too.

Gee.  Try to be intimidating?  ME?  How would I ever go about doing that?????

LOL   As long as they are not looking at their watches, I figure I am still in for the win.

I will tell you one thing, I am going to ask what they pay and if it is not that impressive, I don't care what they grade me.   Screw them, as Rosie says.

I heard that if the interviewer is male, putting your large handbag on his desk, will keep him off balance. I guess you are invading his space. Worth a try.

My darling Karen.  My dearest darling Karen.  What I am going to school for?  Is to hide being myself.  That is not who I want to represent in this interview.  I WANT TO BE EMPLOYED.   I will try and be YOU.  You seem to be loved in the workplace.

  • Not sure if loved is the right word but I am liked. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at October 25, 2016 6:25 PM MDT

  • Three variations on three most asked questions .... Why do you want this job ...  Tell me about a time you failed and what you learnt by it and how you handled it .... And the old Chinese civil service entrance exam-tell me everything you know .... And as a friend once told me, you don't dress for this job, you dress for the job after it ... Good luck This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at October 25, 2016 5:05 PM MDT

Excellent advice from one who thinks things through.  Thanks Oz.  I'll tell you how it went.  LOL

For the record, I have been on at least 500 interviews in my life and you are so RIGHT in that assessment of what they try and do.

I just usually go in and don't give them a chance to ask much.  I take over and tell them exactly why I want this job and what do they want from me for me to get the job.  That puts a better spin and I am in the driver's seat once more.

They are answering MY questions because I impressed them by being beyond ballsy.

Don't pick your nose or scratch your butt. Or spit your chewing tobacco juice into a soda can.
