Know any music groups that could of been rich and famous but they chose to just entertain the local yokals in there area?

Kin Fo is a hillbilly jug band in my area that probably could of made it big in hollywood but they loved busking in the streets and playing in the little bars on Vancouver island so here they stayed and played.
