You can say "a mother mothers" and folks get what you mean and don't challenge it. But say "a president presidents" and you get flak? Why?

    Do you understand "a mother mothers"? I see no difference in "a president presidents" E. I do  not intend to be insulting. I equate the two and if you "get" one I can't understand why you wouldn't "GET" the other. You didn't. Okay. It happens. Thank you for your reply. Now a brother doesn't brothers. A sister doesn't sisters. A mother mothers. So I hopped on board that and ran with it.
