The world is full of touchscreens and how many are not calibrated properly? Only the ones on voting machines?

Why is it more important that someone can order a hamburger from a touchscreen than it is that someone can vote? If your phone had a touchscreen that did not work properly you would return it. Is it too much to ask that a voting machine work as well as something to order fast food or the cheapest android phone available?

I don't like touchscreens. They're so quick to get dirty and smudgy.
