We measure/evaluate/judge others using ourselves as the yardstick of what is appropriate/"best". How can we do otherwise?

Especially true with political parties. To one degree or another we think the opposition has got it all wrong and doesn't understand what is at stake. They think that what they think is clearly best or they wouldn't think it. Circular logic to be sure but that's what it is. Same thing with religion. Yours is best and the others aren't as good or true or real.  That's why we will never understand "the other". Because they are not us and we have all the answers. Right. So why are there still so many questions?
