    I don't know what makes of computers have that make of drive, but I wonder what makes Western Digital ones particularly vulnerable or why the criminals have chosen them particularly, if that is the case.

    Me too neither Durdle. Maybe it's easier to breach for whatever reason. Maybe someone who builds them or worked somewhere that did has a vendetta against the company and is striking back in this way? People can be mean for all kinds of "reasons".
