Thank you for your reply Kg. Much appreciated. It seems records are being shattered everywhere weather-wise. I wonder what the highest highs will be futurely? Meanwhile drought complicates and then fires. OY! Anyway stay safe! I wonder what high temps we will all have experienced by next year this time? Any idea? Happy Monday to thee and thine m'dear! :) This post was edited by RosieG at June 28, 2021 5:56 AM MDT

    102.  That will break the record (old record - 98.4 in 2016).

    We missed tying yesterday's record by only a tenth of a degree (Yesterday's high temp - 99.7 ; record - 99.8 set in 2020).

Overnight lows are getting close to record territory as well. (today's low temp - 69.2 ; record - 70 in 1995 \\ Tomorrow's forecasted low is 70; the record is 66 set back in 1987).

Slightly better than us m'dear. So far today our "low" is 73. I wonder if temps will simply keep going up futurely or will there be a cap beyond which they won't go? Thank you for your detailed reply m'dear. Much appreciated. I think many records are being broken and it's not doing us any good. What's to come? I have no idea. Happy Monday Shuhak! :)

That humidity is a killer m'dear. In California it's very rare for our humidity to be anything but low. Dry not moist air. It's more tolerable. Windy can be good. It gives the illusion of cooling. It got to 107 yesterday here. Today it's predicted to be 104. There are super warm/hot places everywhere. I wonder if it will max out and level off or simply keep going up and up and up and up? Thank you for your reply! STAY COOL! :)

The wind actually does have a cooling effect. It allows sweat to evaporate faster. It was so windy yesterday, I couldn't wear my hat when I visited with my sister down by the river.

So physically it does cool you down? I will hold on to that. Usually warm winds are kinda oppressive when what I want more than anything is to feel chilled. Okay so when sweat evaporates faster you get cooler. Oh. I'm going to ask a question about sweat. We watch a lot of tennis and some players end up ringing wet and some never seem to break a sweat. How? Thank you for your reply. You're kinda good at the science stuff. Thank you for sharing it. This post was edited by RosieG at June 28, 2021 7:13 AM MDT
