Do First-Generation Americans embrace immigrants far more easily than those whose families have been here for generations? Why?

That is basically me and I make a very huge distinction between legal immigrants such as my family who wait to come and must not be criminal or sick and must bring needed skills to the country and who would be sent back if we broke laws and others who walk across the border and see no consequences. Why such a double standard to make everything easy for lawbreakers who do not bring what the country needs but hard for people who obey law and do bring needed skills? More people with no skills is lowering wages. It is not good.
