Actually Rosie...he is. What is even funnier to me is how freaked out people get over what he says when he is only saying these things to steal media attention and air time on the news.
Of course you're right Cruiser. I KNOW I'm being played by him big time. His goal is to have all the attention on him 24/7 and the way he chooses to do that is to be outrageous. I always fall for it and then afterwards I think "fer cryin' out loud why did I let him get to me AGAIN?" I would like to think I'm smarter than that but apparently I'm not. I keep trying to figure it out in the calmer moments and all I can do is guess. I think maybe it's because I'm almost 79 and the election process, especially electing a president, has always been sacrosanct to me. I'm first-generation American you see so everything about having the privilege and good fortune of being an American citizen means a lot to me. What Trump has done is make a mockery of the whole process. His assertion/allegation that everything is rigged infuriates me . I wonder what my parents and grandparents who came here from "the old country" and became naturalized citizens would think about Trump? I think they would be appalled. They were so very proud of being American citizens. America was the land where a better life awaited them. You know I am a very serious person. It is my nature. I take everything very seriously...quite possibly too much so but it's the way I'm wired. A Trump I could tolerate. But the 14 million or so people who support him is really what shocks and frankly frightens me. I'm stuck being me. Sigh. Thank you for your reply.
Yes you are you Rosie and you are a woman. What escapes me is how any woman can even think of voting for Hillary. To make a corrupt liar, an enabler of the worst abuser of woman I can think of, a politician who has done nothing of note while in office, who has scandal after scandal...to vote her as the first woman President...to have that miserable lady represent all women in this country is just insane. If I was a woman I would do everything I could to send her packing. The first woman President should be honorable, loyal, noble, trustworthy and represent YOU and how you have lived your life Rosie. She in no way in He!! deserves this honor. I am ashamed of our country for giving us the 2 worst choices ever for President and I hate to say it...Trump is a far more trustworthy choice than Hillary ever could be....it really comes down to that.
I disagree with thee emphatically Cruiser. You have no idea whom you would be as a woman. Your experiences would have been entirely different. Your emotions, dare I say your intellect too. You can only opine and conjecture and guess and suppose. You ASSUME you would be exactly the same you except with female body parts. Women are not just body parts my friend. That is not the only difference. We live different lives with different expectations made of us and different rules. "Boys will be boys". We hear that all the time. When did you ever hear "girls will be girls"? Boys are not supposed to cry. Women are EXPECTED to cry because they are women after all and more emotional. Not always of course...there are always exceptions, but mostly I believe that to be true. That is why women are NURTURERS and men go out and kill food for the family. Women are charged with raising the children and men are charged with protecting them and providing for them. Or so it used to be. So while I respect that you can't understand why I prefer Hillary to Donald remember you are evaluating me from a man's perspective. Thank you for your thoughtful reply Cruiser and Happy Monday. The same is true for me. I have no idea whom I would be if I were a man. I can't possibly know that. I might admire Donald or despise him less than I do. I might even vote for him. As a woman that is anathema to me but as a man? I have no idea whom I would be. I will never know. Neither will you. :)
