We're already crappoing up space.  There's a ton of "space junk" orbiting the planet right now.  We leave our "used" spacecraft/probes on other planets or floating in space (garbage service is too expensive that far out). When people finally get to Mars, they're going to find garbage all over the place.

OY VEY and GOOD GRIEF! ALREADY DOING IT? To that issue though when we send stuff out to get information would there be a way to have the probe or whatever disintegrate into very tiny pieces which wouldn't damage anything they hit? I never thought of that. Will most things or maybe everything we send up never "die"? Will all of them just keep circulating "up there" forever? Is the info we get worth it? Do you think people will actually be living "out there"? Oh boy. More to worry about. Thank you for your reply Shuhak. I'm going to ask about it. Thanks for pointing it out.

Earth is designed to recycle itself.  From dead things to rocks and dirt.  (were screwing taht process up, but still).
Other planets may not have tis "luxury".  Both Mars And the moon don't, so whatever we put up there is there forever.

Hmmm... we have plastics today that "disintegrate" into tiny pieces.  And those tiny pieces are now EVERYWHERE - water, air, food, etc - even in the "farthest reaches of the world".

Stuff in orbit will either stay there (geosynchronous orbit), finally fall back into the atmosphere where it will either burn up of hit the earth (things burning up in the atmosphere is a form of pollution), or be ejected into space... where they will remain forever.

So we are locked into a world of hopelessness? We're not smart enough to figure our way out of it so we keep doing the wrong thing over and over and over? I dunno. Seems like we were saddled with an albatross of enormous size. Who would do that to us? Thank you for your reply Shuhak. Think there is "intelligent life" out there somewhere? Or are we IT? OMG. How sad would that be if true? :( This post was edited by RosieG at July 13, 2021 1:52 PM MDT
