Most of the people with whom I come in contact are older and didn't grow up with social media. I think it might be more likely to be the younger crowd, the ones who grew up with it, that are obsessed with it. The internet is a wonderful thing in many ways, and not so great in other ways. People have become much less civil. Things you would never say to someone face-to-face have become easily and openly expressed due to the anonymity of the internet.

Not among people I actually spend time with. Like Spunk said, the young folks have the can't help its when it comes to mobile devices and social media. It's a whole generation that, other than my own family, I will probably never choose to be around very much.
