The temperature reached about 113ºF on the Greek island of Evia recently, where the forest fires have led to evacuation, and the local fire-fighters being helped by personnel from the UK and other European countries.
That region does have hot Summers, but not normally that hot.
I think so far the hottest place on earth ever recorded was our own DEATH VALLEY in California. I think it got up to 130 degrees. I wonder how much higher the hotter will get and if we will survive it? The hottest we've experienced to my knowledge was 115 when we lived in Riverside. Hemet is about 30 miles away and we reached 112 or more on rare occasion. Triple digits are ordinary and normal during the summer in Hemet but not 115. So 120 or 130? Yikes. What's the hottest you have experienced? Thank you for your reply. The world is on fire. What happens next?
