We've been in the low-mid 80s, but it's been horribly humid here and today we are expecting to get hit by Hurricane Henri which is supposed to dump 1-2 inches of rain on us.  Long Island will probably bear the brunt of it, but we'll see some heavy rain in the City.

Oh lordy! Just what you needed right? I think it's supposed to stall there too. Which means a longer duration of heavy rain. Something we'd sure like to see in our parched California. I think Mother Nature needs to 'splain herself! Thank you for your reply L! :)

I'm always astonished when I realize that you're cooking on the west coast while we will be drowning on the east coast.

No kidding! A little adjustment to give us more wet and you more dry would really work wonders on both coasts. Wonder why Mother Nature won't budge at all? Maybe if we keep at it she will? Naw. I don't think so. I can't stand those who badger me. Neither a badgered nor a badgerer be. Right? Thank you for your reply! :)

Would be nice if the rain was more available to those who need it.

Boy would it ever! If we had a dial we could control when needed. A smidge here. A bit there. Nothing extraordinarily grabby. I mean a smidge and a bit often enough could do the trick! :)

At least enough to put out the forest fires and to keep it moist enough from erupting again.

The weather here in Michigan rarely deviates from its norm regardless of the season. I love its consistency.

I remember at the age of 3 summer rains during which my mom would put my bathing suit on me and out we'd go. Highland Park, a suburb of Detroit. Long ago and far away but I still remember it! Thank you for your reply ru and Happy Saturday to you and yours! :)

Yes, but right now that's mostly due to smoke.  The temperature here are highly smoke dependant.  If it were a clear day we'd be in the low 90's, but thanks to the thick smoke it barely makes 80.  That may sound good, but one can't enjoy it due to the heavy ground smoke (not safe to be outside for long).  It's Supposed to get hot next week, but with all this smoke it probably won't happen.  Especially when the fires are traveling 8 miles per day!
