    They are no friends of the Taliban, so are not likely to obey anything the Taliban says.

    Had a crystal ball been available 20 years ago to consult I wonder if it would have mattered at all? Would we have still "gone in" fully knowing what the end would be? What do you think Durdle? Other countries who tried left beaten and defeated. What made us think anything would be different? And it is getting worse by the day. A tragedy no matter how you look at it.
