Will a cryptocurrency 1929-like crash cause folks to jump out of windows having lost all their fortunes overnight?

    The current "housing bubble" is mainly caused by a shortage of housing and large corporations entering the market ... paying high prices to purchase property, which they then turn into rentals.  I don't see the "bubble bursting" without government stepping in and passing laws prohibiting corporations from purchasing single-family residences to create rental properties.
