Did you hear that Florida's corn (maize) crops were very bad this year, and that prices have skyrocketed?

In the Tampa Bay area it's a buck an ear.

    It's our first of the year corn. They have two growing seasons there. My sister grows it. She lives in FL..We get it local now.

    Florida's corn season is October to June, so you're probably talking about last year's crop. But corn selling for a dollar an ear is hardly a major crisis. Rosie hasn't posted about it, and she posts about everything wrong with the world.
