Have you ever attended a reading of a deceased person's will?

Films and television shows depict the reading of the will, that usually takes place in a lawyer's office with family members being present.

I've never attended a reading of a will.

When my grandparents passed, my parents disbursed property, etc. according to the wishes of my grandparents.  When my parents passed a few years ago, one of my siblings as executor disbursed property, etc. according to the wishes of my parents.

The Reading of the Will Only takes Place in Movies and Cartoons

It's not a real thing, or not a required thing I should say.  There doesn't have to be a reading of any will unless the will stipulates that it be done.
