    I'm not sure.  I leave my bedroom eyes in a glass on the nightstand so the cat wont scratch them.

    Evidently you don't have cats.  They see an apostrophe and they just have to knock it off.  Sometimes it clings on as a comma, but usually it just ends up on the floor under the furniture.
