    These chicks are pulling a fast one on you.  Their names do NOT match the pictures. 


    Angelique is more of a latin name

    Nancy is an English name

    Umoja is a Swahili name

    Belén is a Spanish name

    Harumi is a Japanese name.

    However...


    Angelique (A) is a roller derby champion (3 years running).

    Nancy (B) is a bill collector... but the kind of bills she collects are rare paper-money (brings in $4.5 million a year from auctions) .

    Umoja (C) is a belly dancer (but she only does it for aerobic exercise).

    Belén (D) is a nightclub singer (except on Mondays and Wednesdays, as her husband works nights on those day and can't babysit their 2 daughters).

    Harumi (E) is a seamstress (learned the trade from working in sweatshops for most of her childhood).

      Sure, no one can have a name that you don’t think fits them ethnically, racially, nor nationally.

    A person usually doesn't name themselves.  Their parents do(otherwise most kids would be named "Wah").  Many parents are proud of their heritage and so name their children to reflect it (since many names have meanings).  Granted, some parents are simply dorks and give their children names like "Babygirl, Window, Nutella, Abcde, and Marijuana. (sigh)  Due to this little thing called "DNA", children tend to resemble their parents.  Therefore, it is NOT being racist to assume that one's name corresponds to their ethnicity.  Sure it's not always so.  I mean, Dr. Marijuana Pepsi doesn't resemble a plant, and she isn't green.
