Putin is NOT a "commie" in the sense that he is seeking to create a Marxist workers' paradise in which The State will wither away.
He is an Authoritarian dictator (with some Russian nationalist leanings) in the same sense the "communist" leaders of the Soviet Union historically were.
And we all know how RAWFs love their fellow Authoritarians....;-D...
I disliked and disapproved of Bernie Sanders because he is Bernie Sanders. Right wingers, as you call them, are not infatuated with Putin. At least not this right winger. I as a Conservative will continue the struggle against all who represent the left side of the spectrum. But then, I am a child of the Cold War. I even concede that some aspects of that period were were wrong, but the Communist/Socialist philosophies have been an abject failure where they have been tried. These ideas clash with human nature. As long as there is envy, jealousy, avarice, the need for power and the need to have more than the other guy, these philosophies cannot succeed.
Right wingers do not like Putin. I'm sure plenty of those big government types, socialist, Americans love him, since the Looney left loves a central, big government.
