Does it bother you that Kamila Valieva, a Russian skater, will be allowed to perform, even though she tested positive for a banned drug?

The drug is trimetazidine, a drug used to treat angina pectoris, a heart malady. It enhances performance by increasing the efficiency of the heart in using oxygen, thus possibly increasing. However, I found a reference to a doctor who said she is already in such peak fitness, the drug would have no effect.

In theory, yes, it does bother me.  How is it the Russians always get away with this kind of crap?  In reality, I couldn't care less.  I don't really have any interest in the Olympics.

I agree with the no interest, but what if she has an attack while performing?

I couldn't care less whether or not she has an attack.  If she has that severe a medical condition, maybe she shouldn't be in the Olympics.

If she truly had a medical condition, she should have told the Olympic medical committee  (or whatever they have) and recieved a medical waiver for her meds.
If she has a heart condition the drug is not giving her more power, it would be giving her heart the power her medical condition caused her to loose.

That said I do not care.
