    Why?  This kind of thing drives me a little nuts.  They love to mess with Halloween too.

      On the local radio, I heard it explained that it is because there are so few pyrotechnic experts who can set up the shows properly that they have to work in more than one city, therefore, they are stretched thin and cannot do it all in one night at one location.  I do not know if this is true.

    No, but that doesn't seem unusual to me. They seem to be scattered across about 3 weekends with few places (probably actual cities) doing them on the 4th. But rural communities are like that, I think. People can see 5 or 6 displays, with the little towns and various venues hosting on different nights.

    I hope they're smart enough to not have fireworks in places suffering severe drought. I remember them being cancelled or postponed when I was growing up at least once or twice because of the fire risk.
