If by leech you mean your 45 year old uncle who's never had a job in his live and still lives living in mom's basement, then yes.

If you're referring to the parasite, then probably not.

I doubt it. Leeches live in water. Another question for me. Or two.

Well, think about it this way: a person or animal is in a wooded area and enters the water, leeches attach themselves to the person or animal, who then leaves the water with the parasite in tow, ticks are rampant in some woods, and they in turn could theoretically attach themselves to not only the host human or animal, but also to the original parasites.

If the tick is already on you, sucking blood, why would it go to the leech. The possibility is there, though.

The tick is not “already“ there, nor is it a single tick. As the ticks seek a spot at which they will burrow into flesh, some of them might alight on some of the leeches.

Are you absolutely sure you had a career in which scientific hypothesis played a part in figuring things out?

And a major part of that is disproving the hypothesis. Experiments need to be run. I need volunteers. Want to join my research team? We have a large marshy area with plenty of ticks and leeches.

I think that many times and in many different instances, you have shown an inability to see the big picture on probabilities and/or possibilities, that’s all. That doesn’t seem to be the analytical type of thinking of a science-minded person.
