Blaming America is what they do. At one time, the Brits were something. They had the great empire on which the sun never set. Now they are much closer to being nothing, with USA having long taken over dominance of the free world, That miffs them, and so they lash out, that much more so when they are irritated over something, as are their libs who just lost a fair-and-square referendum.

@DTT -- The fact that you ADMIRE the history of the British Empire, when they used naked force to subjugate (mostly non-white) people throughout the world pretty much says everything about you. The fact that you then cite the results of the Brexit vote as a triumph of democracy says even more....;-D...

Old, Cartoonish was hating on us Americans for some reason, I wanted to get to the bottom of it.  I mean it is okay when I bash America, but what is his deal?

Delivering is just ready to pounce on anything just for the sake of causing some mischief even he doesn't believe in it himself.    Who knows why.

I totally agree with your take on the Bloody English.  They leave little to admire.  Conquering other nations and holding sway over them is not the way of anything admirable.

DTT, it would serve the interest of total honesty if you admit - in writing - that the US is swirling the drain in pretty tight circles too.

Our "dominance" has come at the expense of true, sustainable prosperity, and Americans are last to realize it.

We should have heeded the founders who eschewed the idea of inserting ourselves into other peoples' problems. The sun will always set on an empire that overextends itself.

The Brits know that, and they probably compare us to boastful teenagers when phrases like "American dominance" are tossed around.
