    I said this on another thread earlier, but I'll say it again here. The intent is to provide an environment that's clean enough for a 14-year-old and friendly enough for anyone. Sadly, it seems a select few are looking for loopholes in the TOS in order to get things posted that aren't in line with the intent/ goals, but aren't outright violations.

    Yes, you can get away with asking questions about sexual health because even a 14-year-old would hear that much in sex-ed. Do we need to stick photos of dildos in front of everyone? Come on, people. This is ridiculous.

    Ya'll are adults. Would it kill you to behave in an appropriate way based on the intent of the site or do you really need someone to hold your hand through every single posting? This constant "Look what so-and-so got away with" and "I know how to post in the gray areas so I don't get nailed" is freaking annoying.

    What would be reasonable is if adults behaved like adults and had the decency not to feed people when they're pushing the limits.

  • Does this mean that my informative contribution (that the Ancient Greeks made their dildos out of bread) will not survive?

    It's not just wrong; it's illegal.
    -----
    U.S. Code § 223

    (a)Prohibited acts generallyWhoever—
    (1)in interstate or foreign communications—
    (A)by means of a telecommunications device knowingly—
    (i)
    makes, creates, or solicits, and
    (ii)
    initiates the transmission of,
    any comment, request, suggestion, proposal, image, or other communication which is obscene or child pornography, with intent to abuse, threaten, or harass another person;
    (B)by means of a telecommunications device knowingly—
    (i)
    makes, creates, or solicits, and
    (ii)
    initiates the transmission of,
    i
    any comment, request, suggestion, proposal, image, or other communication which is obscene or child pornography, knowing that the recipient of the communication is under 18 years of age, regardless of whether the maker of such communication placed the call or initiated the communication;

    Currently, obscenity is evaluated by federal and state courts alike using a tripartite standard established by Miller v. California 413 U.S. 15 (1973). The Miller test for obscenity includes the following criteria: (1) whether ‘the average person, applying contemporary community standards’ would find that the work, ‘taken as a whole,’ appeals to ‘prurient interest’ (2) whether the work depicts or describes, in a patently offensive way, sexual conduct specifically defined by the applicable state law, and (3) whether the work, ‘taken as a whole,’ lacks serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value.

    I believe the key phrase is " knowing that the recipient is under 18 years of age".  If someone is going through your things without your knowledge, you could not possibly know their age.

  • I guess. I don't care either way. It is the cross-dressing knicker spankers that bother me. But only because it is so lame, just like Trump questions. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at November 7, 2016 3:54 PM MST

    Bromadillo, thank you so much for this insightful piece.

    Lame will be the death of us all.

    NO LAME.  End LAMENESS.

    HIV is a very valid, very serious medical problem.

    And what do you have against people that are very clever with languages?

    I always do this.  And I want to kick myself afterwards.

    I make a point and then I have to LISTEN to hours of why I am wrong.

    I don't even read any of this stuff.  I really don't read one word of WHY I am wrong.

    I would not want to have Just Asking's job for all the Tea in China.  So, I acquiesce to her every command.  It is her site and I do see her point.

    To a point.  But I am NOT her and this is my take on the absurdity of these inane rules we are all forced to endure.  Including Just Asking.  So I give her all the breaks in the world and I appreciate her patience.  I do.

    Even in vertical positions it can be taken too sexual, and NOT okay. I'm however not looking for a reopening on that topic. Sighs.

    The question referred to by the OP:

    Sharonna had at least one of her dildo questions pulled. Retrospective, neither of the questions belong in the main area. Unfortunately it seems people are having angst entering the adultMug. We know imaginations at times can build images inside our heads that are far from truth. I think Sharonna, as many others would be surprised about how the adultMug runs. Their questions would fit inside perfectly. The reel Percy questions are less of the full picture we see inside the adultMug, and by the way very easy ignored (at least for my part). • Although the question, whatever it was, may have been okay, the subsequent videos and challenging of content, was not. It would have probably been just fine in the adult section.

    You are right, it would have been okay within the adultMug. That said, I do understand the harm of Sharonna that the cunnilingus can be posted in the main room. But that will be my take on it, and I'm luckily not a mod. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at November 8, 2016 1:13 AM MST
