If it applied only to Twitter and none others, its resulting bias would soon become known, putting it on a par with many newspapers and some commercial broadcasters.
The bigger problem might be self-censorship by people who refuse to read or hear anything not agreeing with their own beliefs and prejudices, however objectively incorrect they may be.
Not just Twitter, is was Facebook, YouTube, Google etc. I disagree that people deciding what/who they choose to trust is not as bad as the gov using big tech to censor people. We are adults and should be allowed to have all the information we want to make our decisions.
