    Of course not.

    I'm sure you remember the ENDLESS complaints about President Obama (which continue to this day) after he won in 2008 and again in 2012.

    Regardless of who wins today's election, I'm sure those whose preferred candidates did not win will continue to denigrate the winner and/or the supporters of the winner.

    @hartfire -- Of course it is.

    Broadly speaking, elections of particular politicians are just proxies for ongoing debates within our society about what moral principles should govern our actions and social structures. Those debates do not end simply becaues a particular election has been decided.
