He'd have gone absolutely ape-whatsit... personally I was looking forward to seeing that :P He wouldn't, couldn't have handled failure.. It would have been good for the American people as they would have seen what he is truly capable of..how low he will stoop and how utterly irrational he can be.. it would have been good if it had happened that way... as he'd be relatively harmless.. as it is.. what is likely to happen is that all his pettiness, narcissism and vileness is likely to be played out and hurt a lot of innocent people :(
I will just say the popular vote means less than it looks. A lot of States knew which would win before the election so many I am sure on both sides did not vote because they figure does not matter. The only way it is meaningful is if most popular votes wins as they all count then.

Hmm not sure about that.. surely the person who gets most votes should win.. that a crazy system means that even tho someone got more votes they don't win is kinda immaterial surely? I think in lots of countries, my own included, voter turn out is poor.. but at the end of the day you have to count those who DO turn out.. and those who didn't kinda lost their chance to have a say.
Thrify my sweet, I do hope that wasn't an insult to me? Let's assume not.. If you are saying that Trump knew how the college works.. yes I am sure he does... and ditto I am sure Swoop does too but you really are overstepping America's influence somewhat when you say ALL adults :P I suspect there are a good many in China, Borneo, Italy, Europe etc who have many, if not most adults who don't know how America's unique system of elections works.
