    Mom bought a can of crushed tomatoes-read on that can, in the ingredients it does say it contains calcium chloride in it too.
    Then hope they only a little bit or just tiny bit in it!

    It is harmless in very small quantities. It is used in pickle making to keep the pickles crisp, but I don't know why they would put it in canned tomatoes.
